A bad time calls for... What else but family pictures.
What other time is the family all together and dressed nicely?? Probably not normal to take family pictures after a funeral but I don't know the last time we were all in the same place and decent! So take advantage!

Playing with all the stuff "Santa" brought!
Emily loves all of her toys she got from Santa. She must have been a really good girl this year. He came to 3 houses for her. Here are a few pictures of her playing with some of her new things. I wish I had a picture of her Uncle David playing in the tunnel, but I wasn't fast enough with the camera. They were playing hide and seek and David decided to hide in her tunnel. He looked like a giant pink silk worm!

We never go home for Christmas, however this year due to sad circumstances we traveled home for the holidays. My grandmother (Grandma Carter) passed away on the 21st. So we shopped, wrapped, and packed quickly! We thought we had a few more days to shop and wrap, but things happen. Grandma just wanted us home for the holidays I guess. We stopped at the Balaun's house on Christmas Eve and Christmas and then went on to Topeka.

Santa's Little Helper
Emily is quite the little helper. She was quite impressed with her ability to make candy coated pretzels. They turned out really good. I was so happy she could actually do it all by herself! What a big help.

Today was Emily's last day at her current preschool. She will start her new preschool on January 5th. She will be staying home with mom for two whole weeks. I am sure Mommy and Emily will be ready to go back by then! They also had their Christmas Party today. Mommy and Daddy came to help celebrate. They exchanged books at the end.
