Birthday Party Fun!
Emily went to a birthday party that was at a farm. They had a petting zoo, pony rides, jump house, train ride, and hay rack ride. Emily was pretty afraid of all the animals. She refused to go inside the pen. She thought petting them from outside was close enough! She didn't want to ride a pony until she saw the others doing it. She was afraid the ponies were going to be neighing loudly and going too fast. When she saw how slow they went and that they were quiet, she decided that would be fun! She really enjoyed herself!

Grandma came for a visit when dad was out of town. Emily and grandma stayed home from school on Friday and played all day! Saturday we did Emily's favorite thing... went to the mall. We ate pretzels, went to the Disney Store, and Grandma and Emily rode on the carousel. What a fun visit with Grandma!

Emily's New Bike!
Emily got a new big girl bike today! She kept telling us that the tricycle was too small and she needed a "Big Girl Bike." At first she would puddle forward one time, then peddle back, which would put the brakes on. It was pretty difficult at first but after a few minutes she got the hang of it. She is a pro now! She rode all the way around our circle tonight. We will go this weekend and get her a helmet before she learns to go to fast! I think she has a nice Princess one picked out.

Curl my hair please. Emily has started to notice trends among her friends. She noticed that yesterday her friend Britney had her hair curled, so she decided she needed to wear her hair curled today. Let's hope they aren't competing for the boys' attention already!! Last time she had me curl her hair she rushed in and swung her hair around for one of the boys in her class. She is growing up way too fast!
P.S. If you think Emily's hair looks shorter, it's not just the curls. She got 2 1/2 inches cut off on Monday!
